Project Description
Developed in 2024 at Cita Design Studio for Norwegian Cruise Line, the Family Suite Cabin concept for the Norwegian Aqua was designed in line with contemporary marine interior standards. The main objective was to achieve maximum comfort and functionality within the limited cabin volume typical of cruise vessels.
The design approach emphasized ergonomic solutions, integrated storage units, and modular furniture suitable for family use. Material selections were made according to maritime durability requirements, featuring compact laminates, marine-grade vinyl wall coverings, and moisture-resistant fabrics.
Lighting design was planned through layered scenarios, providing different illumination levels for reading, relaxation, and general use. The color and material palette was developed to align with the ship’s overall interior design concept, using natural tones and warm wood textures to create a calm and inviting atmosphere.
The scope of work included space planning, detailed drawings, material specifications, and technical documentation to support production and implementation processes..
